A study from The Journal of American Medical Association in 2008 shows that 32.2% of Americans are obese and 35.5% for women. Obesity is one of the major health issues America is facing that can lead to diseases such as diabetes, cancer and heart disease. Weight gain in men is an alarming issue and is harder to control as they age. This is where yogurt comes in... A study in 2014 showed that a huge numbered participants with an average age of 37.1 were monitored in a period of every 2 years. Their discovery was that the participants who consumed more than 7 servings of yogurt per week were found less obese than the rest. They also found out that eating yogurt mixed with more fruits significantly decreased the risk of obesity.
