The most popular, and safe to say, the most traditional type of either kefir or yogurt. To make milk kefir, you must use a milk kefir starter or grain. You can use fresh cow's, goat's or sheep's milk to make this drink. Some people also use full-fat UHT milk or add milk powder on their batch. The advantage: milk contains calcium that is good for the bones and quality protein that helps build muscles and is essential for recovery for those who are seriously training for fitness or sports.
For vegetarians and vegans, coconut milk, other nut kinds of milk like almond milk, and soy milk can be used as well.
